About Miya

For the last 16 years I have been a nanny. It is an honor to be given the opportunity to care for and to be a positive impact in the lives of young children. I'm patient, creative, and friendly. I am comfortable enforcing household rules set by the parents. I enjoy being outdoors, board games, puzzles, and creative educational activities. I have cared for children from age 0 to 11. Was a FT nanny for 5 years for a family with 3 children under the age of 5. I have cared for newborns, sleep trained infants and have tag teamed with parents with multiple children. I am happy to help with any child related housekeeping. I was a classeoom teacher for 10 yrs and tend to bring much of my background into my nanny positions. I also attended culinary school and worked at many restaurants in SF and love doing hands on age appropriate cooking activities. I am First Aid and CPR Training certified and TrustLine certified. In my spare time you will find me hiking or backpacking with my dog.
