I am a National Board-Certified Teacher. I taught elementary school from 1993 to 2020. Since leaving the classroom, I have been supporting students in grades 1-9. I can help students catch up with concepts taught this year, and/or support them with new concepts that come up. One of my strengths is being able to create engaging activities that either teach new material or reinforce what is learned in the classroom. I will help a student not just enjoy learning, but to also be successful.

Mr. R. is fantastic and so patient with our son who had the privilege of being taught by Mr. R at the 5th Grade level. During the pandemic, Mr. R supplemented the few hours provided of daily class with 2 weekly lessons of Math and Language. As a result, H has stayed at the head of his classes and we continue to have Mr. R meet with H once a week to get him ahead in his current level of 7th Grade. H adores Mr. R -- here is his review: Mr. R is an incredible teacher. He has helped me boost my grades and learn new math. He is extremely patient and straight forward. His teaching methods are easy to digest. Any child would be lucky to have Mr. R as a tutor - I would highly recommend him.
