About Mitchell

Hi there! I am a student at the University of Utah working towards my H. B. S. in Writing and Rhetorics Studies before heading to law school. From 2016-2022 I was in the U. S. Navy as a Nuclear Electronics Technician where I maintained, operated, and trained individuals in an operational nuclear power plant. After leaving the Navy, I began to pursue my degree (initially an information technology major) while working at the Cancer Institute as an engineer for their proton radiation oncology equipment. Since then, I have left my job to place more focus on my scholarship and prepare for the transition to graduate school. I believe that the ability to learn efficiently is a skill that must be practiced and can always be improved. I also believe that each individual has a unique learning style that does not always fit the traditional educational mold. Working to find the right learning style as well as focusing on learning through understanding rather than memorization is my focus
