I'm Miriam! I am an ASL-Certified Artist with a passion for the Montessori philosophy, silly voices and colorful self-expression. I am a native Austinite returned from Brooklyn where I taught ASL Immersion classes at Babysteps NYC with classes ranging from ages 8mo to 5 years. I am a former Austin preschool teacher as well as an infant care provider and have clients I've nannied for for over six years and it's been one of the greatest privileges of my life to be such an important part of these kiddos' journeys. My passion for early childhood development with practiced empathetic communication and lessons in conscious discipline helps me be the best caretaker I can be~

Miriam is truly amazing at connecting with kids. She helped us by watching our (then) almost 2 year old for 12 hours a week for several months back in 2021. 5 years later and he still loves Miriam! We recently moved abroad and when I asked who he would want to send a note/card to back in the states, he immediately said Miriam. Miriam not only made our kid feel loved, cared for, seen, respected, and heard, but she also did an amazing job at appropriately holding boundaries when needed in a kind way that aligned with our parenting. Additionally, as I am a child psychologist, I was very picky with who I would feel comfortable with taking care of my child. Miriam intuitively follows all of the research-backed methods of parenting, without any intervention or coaching on our part. She is a dear friend to me and to my boys (now two of them!). I cannot recommend Miriam highly enough.
