About Miriam

I'm a recent UC Berkeley student that resides El Cerrito CA. My passion lies working with little children and I look forward to connecting with families who are looking for childcare! I provide childcare as a nanny/child caregiver for children ranging from 1 to 4 years old in a play-based setting. I was introduced to the play-based model through a former job with a non-profit in West Oakland that offered a program for Oakland residents to join a community of parents, children and caregivers that encouraged parents to get on the floor and play with their children. I continue to utilize this approach when caring and engaging with children because I am aware of how much can be learned through bonding and imaginative play. I enjoy spending time outdoors, nature studies, readings, song sharing and getting creative through arts and crafts. I have 6+ years working with children between 1 to 5 years old and have wonderful references I can provide.
