About Miranda

I have 26 years of both paid and unpaid experience working with children from infant to the age of 12. I have experience with children with behavior problems and special needs such as intellectual disabilities, ADHD and Asperger's syndrome. As a nanny, I was responsible for taking care of a family's 3 children on a periodic basis. The oldest was 2 but I started taking care of her on and off since she was 5 months old. Once the twins arrived, I took care of them from 2 weeks old until they were 4 months old. I would play with the oldest by doing outside activities and indoor art projects. When we couldn't go out, we always found something to do. I don't believe in sitting in front of the TV all day. When the children were napping I would do light cleaning and prepare food if it wasn't already prepared. I have an Associates in Early Childhood Education and have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Special Education.
