About Miranda

I started working with kids when I was just 14. My neighbors had two children under the age of 3. I started sitting for them several nights a week. I then started offering tutoring services in the area, primarily in Math. I became a college admissions advisor, where I facilitated a safe space to learn and connect. I've also tutored several students from China in English. Now that I have more time, I'm excited to pursue more opportunities in both babysitting and tutoring. I like working with kids because they allow me to see the world in new ways. I'm looking for a job that allows me to be a reliable presence for a kid where I can help them grow. My skills include tutoring, enrichment time, and cooking healthy meals. I'm also skilled in creating a safe space for kids and teens to talk about mental health. I am trained in Mental Health First Aid and have years of experience as a crisis counselor.
