About Milena

Mia helped us out with our 11 month old daughter for 6 months as we bridged the end of our parental leave and our daughter's transition to daycare. As soon as we first interviewed her, we felt like Mia would be a good match for us and our situation. She was friendly, passionate about childcare, and open to listening to our priorities and concerns. That initial impression translated very cleanly to our experience with her. With her background in education, even though activities were play based, there was often a little bit of "Let's learn something new" mixed in, like "What are the different sounds all these animals make?". She was always punctual, but willing to accommodate us when we had last minute complications that kept us running half an hour behind schedule. She always left our daughter's room a little cleaner than she found it. More than anything, though, we felt like our daughter was in good hands, and that's a tall order for a child's first caregiver. She was warm and patient while still providing structure and guidance. Our daughter was always so excited to see Mia (and her very shiny coffee travel mug) at the door.
