Hello! My name is Mikayla, and I am a 21-year-old fourth year at the ILLUSTRIOUS Norfolk State University majoring in Premedical Biology. I currently have a job in security for the Port of Virginia; however, I am looking into changing that for something that I love: childcare. Growing up as a military kid, I know the true meaning behind it taking a village to help grow a little one. Being the oldest of three, I've always helped to take care of my siblings to the best of my abilities in anyway I can in order to assist my mom. As I grew older, I assisted families around me from ages as young as newborn to elementary ages. My goal is to use the experience I have to help more and more families who need assistance or parents who just need a break for any reason!
