About Migdalia

Migdalia joined our family in late February 2022. My former nanny had to resign, providing notice in late January, so my husband and I started a search for a new nanny. I posted a position on care.com but took it upon myself to search for outstanding profiles and reach out to those nannies directly to see if they were looking for a family. Migdalia was one of the nannies I personally reached out to and from initial conversations, I knew it would be a great fit. Migdalia started with us after notice period with her former family. I used that family as a reference, which included an infant and a three year old, who Migdalia had worked with since an infant as well. Their review of her was outstanding, explaining how she went above an beyond to care for and educate their oldest child - all while relocating with the family during the pandemic. Since starting with us, she has been the perfect fit. She takes excellent care of my daughter physically and emotionally and is our go-to person throughout the day from home since we both have full time jobs. Migdalia and my daughter have special things they do together -and songs they sing like La Lechuza. My husband and I are sole English speakers but Migdalia has introduced her to Spanish, with my daughter currently being able to count up to 10, identify primary colors in Spanish and engage in light conversation. She has been the same loving force to my son as well, who she has nannied since birth. He is now 13 months. When my son was born, my oldest came down with a flu. No questions asked, Migdalia moved in to help us get through that really tough first week to care for my daughter and keep the baby isolated. What is special about Migdalia: she gives 110%. She gives 110% in not just what she does (taking care of the children and being a nanny) but also in HOW she does it (giving them her full attention, building their confidence, caring about their well being and having the utmost patience with these little people learning life). Because of all this and more, she has been invaluable in supporting my transition into motherhood, along with a full time career, and I will always be one of her #1 fans. Any family would be blessed to have her - as we surely have been and will remain given her influence. She will always be apart of our family.
