LPN/ Personal Care/ Patient Advocate. Post surgical care I have been in the nursing field for 31 years and have served in many different clinical areas. I currently work/ serve families as a Hospice nurse. Unfortunately, I have also seen the decline in quality care over the years and a major decline Post Covid. Long term care facilities, memory care facilities, and personal care agencies struggle to find quality healthcare workers. Families often struggle with the decision to place their loved in an extended care facility but they should not have to worry about the care being received. Is your loved one clean, dressed appropriately, are their finger nails clean, teeth/dentures clean? Are they receiving the proper nutrition and hydration? Often the answer is no and I see it every day. Allow me to be that extra set of eyes/hands-on person for your loved one. I can do Weekly pop in visits or more frequent visits if needed. I can also make in home visits for those aging in place.
