About Michelle

My name is Michelle, I've been in child care for the past 6+ years working with children of various backgrounds including boys, girls and non-binary kids aged 4-16. Pre-pandemic I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Colombia. I really enjoyed this cultural immersion and connecting with kids of all ages. This experience further enriched my life by teaching me Spanish! As a caregiver and family assistant, my responsibilities have included pick-up from school/after-school activities, homework help, active outdoor play, meal prep, light tidying/housework and bedtime prep. My favorite moments involve group play and spontaneity. I practice active listening, and have a friendly, encouraging manner with kids. I'm easy going and enjoy fostering kids natural curiosity, helping them navigate their way through life, school, teams and friendships. I'd love to hear more about your family and needs!
