About Michelle

Hi, I'm Michelle, a licensed Washington State Certified teacher with 8+ years of experience as a educator. I come from a big family and helped raise my younger siblings and nephew. I've worked as a special education paraeducator with autistic students and as a K-5 classroom teacher. I know how to keep kids safe, engaged, and growing with extra patience and structure, playful learning, or a calm presence. I love planning hands-on activities: stories, art, games, movement, simple science, or outdoor play that support social-emotional skills, curiosity, and confidence. I'm comfortable with a range of ages and needs, including kids who need extra support. I love playing basketball, volleyball, and baseball/softball, and enjoy watching them. I like learning and experiencing new things, so I'm always up for a new game, activity, outing with kids. I'm reliable, organized, and enjoy being with children.
