About Michelle

Hi, I'm Michelle! I'm a full-time District 203 high school English teacher with 20 years of experience teaching Communication Arts. One-on-one writing help is my specialty. I can assist all students, elementary through college age, with their English assignments. I am happy to help with essay writing, argument writing, research writing in MLA or APA format, creative/narrative writing, college essays, rhetorical analysis, and any type of speech writing. When students come to me with a rough draft, I will make sure it conforms to every aspect of the assignment's requirements and rubric. To do this, we will discuss the piece's content, organization, sentence fluency, citations, and overall conventions such as spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation, making sure it's polished and of publication/submission quality. I also work with adults on proofreading and copy editing of any type of writing, including business and professional writing. I am familiar with AP Style.
