About Michelle

Compassionate, caring, and honest, are three words that describe me. A professional educator of over 25 years, with a passion for cross-curricular hands-on learning. Helping my students become problem solvers and watching their expression when they have an "aha" moment is what I love about tutoring. I am looking for a job that provides me with an opportunity to help my students learn and grow in a confident manner. I started tutoring in 1998, when I realized that my 3rd grade class was really struggling. Families could not afford to pay me, but I did take an occasional basket of eggs or berries. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, nature watching, and cooking. My greatest accomplishment is being a mom of two amazing young men. My top tutoring skills are defining the individual needs of my student and meeting those needs through hard work and patience.

Michelle was a life changer for our struggling son. Years behind in reading due to dyslexia and weighed down by a complete dislike for school because of how hard it was…. She changed all of that for us. Her love for learning, passion for knowledge, and deep understanding make Michelle absolutely perfect for the job. My family, and most importantly, my son.. would not be the thriving socially and scholastically if it was not for Michelle! She’s incredible.
