About Michele

Hello! I'm Michele , an educator with 23+ years in teaching and social justice advocacy. I've served as a classroom teacher and curriculum developer, always focused on creating inclusive, affirming environments for all children. I recently moved to Mount Airy and am excited to bring my expertise in nurturing both children and pets to this community. Throughout my career, I've collaborated with organizations like The Fenway Institute and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, where I developed educational programs and provided national-level guidance on LGBTQIA+ inclusion in schools. My teaching experience in the Madison Metropolitan School District and University of Wisconsin has equipped me to support children across various subjects with a trauma-informed, equity-driven approach.
