About Michael

I have worked in the education field for 8 years, and I am currently back in school making a transition to healthcare. I taught Math, Chemistry, and Spanish at the high school level, and I spent several years as an outdoor education instructor teaching outdoor science classes, leadership seminars, and coaching outdoor adventure activities and sports including kayaking, canoeing, surfing, skiing, biking, soccer, basketball, rock climbing and backpacking. Across my various roles, I have experience teaching in both group and one-on-one settings and have developed valuable skills in connecting with youth and creating a positive learning experience for all types of learners and personalities. I have worked as a professional tutor for three years, both independently and through the Summit Educational Group. My primary subject areas are Math (algebra I-II and geometry), Chemistry, Biology, Spanish (levels I-III), and SAT.
