About Michaela

I am a certified high school math teacher in the Ann Arbor Public Schools District. I have been teaching for the past four years including my summers in which I teach summer school. I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Leadership. I have a Bachelors Degree is in Mathematics for Secondary Education with a minor in Physical Education. I graduated Summa Cum Laude for both degrees. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Math Support, and Intensified Algebra 1. My strength is with working with kids who struggle with math. I enjoy witnessing a student realize how successful they can be in math! My skills include patience, learning strategies, effective communication, time management, and building strong relationships with my students. My goal is to get a student to feel that they are confident in math. In my spare time, I like to play pick up basketball games, go to the gym, run, and spend time with my family and friends.
