About Mia

I graduated from UW with a masters degree in social work. I work as a child and family therapist in the evenings (why I cannot work as a nanny past noon-depending on the day, I make my own schedule). I believe that the family unit is the most important foundation for everything and childhood is such an important aspect of who we are and become. I love being a nanny because it is more than just being an employee, you are having an important impact on a child's life. Most of the families I've worked for, it almost feels like I became part of the family. I still see many of the children I worked with in the past. My weekends are spent snowboarding, fishing, camping, surfing, baking, and reading. I grew up in Seattle and went to college and graduate school at the UW.
