About Mia

I just graduated in May from Ithaca College with a B. S. in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. I have been providing childcare for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years for over 10 years, and with that has come a lot of tutoring experience. I have a younger brother with several learning disabilities and understand the importance of patience when it comes to different learning abilities. With a background in speech language pathology I have taken several courses in education as well as language development. I am a strong believer in creating exciting ways for children to learn, and including their personal interests as a way to motivate. My strongest skills are in reading, spelling, and writing, but I can also provide tutoring in math as well as other subjects such as history.
