About Mia

I've always grown up wanting to help others and after high school I went straight into working. I've assisted with elders who have developmental disabilities in a group home and day program settings. I have also worked in an assisted living facility working with 16 residents in the home. I have bathed, cooked, fed, cleaned, went out into the community, formed connections with residents and done laundry. I always love to make genuine connections with any resident I have come to know and treating residents like my own family. I feel making genuine connections with the residents helps make them feel more comfortable and open to to assistance. I have also babysat my little cousins, family friend's children and recently my sister's newborn.
