About Mia

I work as a Behavior Specialist in Pinellas County Schools and dedicated to supporting a diverse community of learners as they navigate the complexities of modern education. Originally from Washington State, I pursued my undergraduate studies in Elementary Education and Special Education in Salt Lake City and embarked on my teaching journey there before relocating to Florida prior to the pandemic. I graduated with my master's degree in Curriculum Instruction: Cognitive Neuroscience from Florida State University in 2023. I believe in nurturing a love for learning in every student, understanding that it may blossom differently and at different paces. With over six years of experience teaching across various states and even abroad, one constant has stood out: students thrive in environments where they feel safe and valued. As an educator, I prioritize building strong connections with my clients to empower them academically, socially, and behaviorally as they strive towards their goals.
