My name is Meyre, I'm from Brazil, and I'm 27 years old. I have been working with children for 10 years. I was a children's dance teacher and worked as a nanny for a family for 7 years, taking care of 3 siblings. I came to the United States to be an au pair in 2022 to take care of 2 adorable boys, aged 4 months and 2 years. It was an incredible experience. When I finished my exchange program, I worked as a babysitter for a few months and currently, for the past 8 months, I have been working as a nanny share for two adorable children: a 2-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy. My responsibilities with them include engaging in activities, taking them to the park, library, story time, preparing lunch and snacks, cleaning up after them, organizing their toys, nap time, and hygiene. I also did potty training, and it has been a success. I am looking for a new job as soon as my contract with them ends at the end of August when the children will start school.

We genuinely feel so lucky to have had Meyre as our nanny to our now-two year old daughter. She essentially watched our daughter grow into her toddler self and our daughter always mentions her name whenever we do anything fun together. The only reason we are parting ways is because our daughter will be starting daycare now that she is two. Meyre is always very punctual and responsive to our texts throughout the day when we check in and see how our little one is doing. She has always kept an eye out for our daughter’s safety, especially when feeling ill. Meyre has also supported us in potty training, and as a joint effort we’ve been able to successfully get our daughter out of diapers before her second birthday. The days were always structured with activities, whether that’s going to the park, attending library events, teaching new songs and dances, or just getting some sunshine in the backyard. She also helps in getting meals and snacks ready for the day's activities without being told to. As parents, it is a relief that we trust our daughter is in good hands. It is evident in the way our daughter greets her with a big hug, smile, and “beijos” every day and asks about her even on the weekends. She is a kind and caring person and I think any family would be very lucky to have her.
