About Meredith

Hi parents/guardians! Great to meet you. I work with kids because they have infinitely interesting things to say! I want to facilitate their joy, get them thinking, and provide structured opportunities for personal development. I started working with kids at 14 - was a camp counselor at Nia Moves Camp, then a Refugee Youth Mentor at Baker Ripley for two summers. I have been a babysitter since I was 15, and have been a full-time classroom teacher for 2+ years. As a big sister to a single mom, I've really been working with kids (my two younger siblings) since I can remember. I am a proactive communicator. I never want a family to feel like they don't know exactly what they need to know about their child or home. I will be organized and detailed in reporting what got done during the day and any concerns they should be aware of. My skills include creating engaging activities, establishing and maintaining structured routines, and using social emotional regulation skills.
