Mercy was hired to care for our 2 children. She was very loving and kind. We were very transparent with her about her days and gave her her schedule for August and Sept. She was with us for 2.5weeks when my husband gave her some redirection on certain things i.e., limited screen time, more play, etc. Nothing major. We also had to change some days in September and wanted to give her 2+ weeks of notice so she could plan accordingly, mind you, we told her from the very start that if she finds something more full-time or the drive (she was driving 45+min) got too long to please just give us notice so we can make arrangements for the children. Well, an hour after she left our house she text me that she wouldn't be returning. I replied wanting to confirm that what I was reading was true, and no reply, ever. She left us in a horrible situation with no notice; absolutely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I still don't understand why someone so seemingly kind would do something like that to a family in need, paying good money and was always kind to her. My only thought is that her English wasn't as good as she claimed and just had no idea what was going on. After all, she did get dates mixed up and we had to review the working days with her a few times. Maybe she'll work out for another family, but that wasn't our experience.
