About Mercy

I've spent more than 20 years as a school nurse, caring for kids from kindergarten through high school. Scraped knees, first-day nerves, the stomachache that's really about a math test. I've seen it all, and I love every age for different reasons. I've also spent 4+ years working with elderly clients, which has been some of the most meaningful work of my life. I raised two kids of my own, both grown now, and I'd like to think I learned as much from them as they did from me. Patience, mostly. And how to make someone laugh when they're having a rotten day. I'm a happy person by nature, and I think joy is part of good care, not separate from it. Whether I'm with a child or an older adult, I want them to feel safe, respected, and genuinely enjoyed. Outside of work, you'll find me on the pickleball court (I'm competitive, I won't pretend otherwise), in my garden, or being supervised by my cats and dogs.
