About Mena

My name is Mena and I have been working with children of all ages for the past 4 years! I've been employed with Discovery Central and Eightcap Inc. Head Start programs, as well as nannying and pet/housesitting in between. During my time at Discovery Central I was working as an Assistant Teacher, occasionally taking lead on friday's. This was a Montessori based program, as well as being nature based. This job taught me how to teach children in the natural environment! Because of this I like to spend lots of time outdoors with the kids I take care of, while teaching them how to safely interact with the world around them. During my time with Eightcap I worked both as a Center Assistant and as an Infant Toddler Educator. I was trained in many different areas including conscience discipline, child development, child behavior, health and safety, CPR and first aid, as well as many more. I also gained experience with food handling and meal preparation.
