Hi! I am a recent grad from the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!). Having lived in Kansas my whole life I have worked with kids of many different ages. My first job with kids was babysitting a 5-year-old girl and her 10-month-old brother! I went on to work with the YMCA where I was a Y-leader for ages 6-11. While attending high school I was fortunate enough to be a part of our IPS Program (Inter-Personal Skills). I worked with my special needs peers and helped them learn simple skills they will need to know so they can thrive in the future! My most recent job was helping with after-school care! Lastly, I have been a two-time volunteer at a Children's Hospital working with kids. I love getting to work with kids because of their vibrant personalities and never failing to put a smile on my face!

We have cycled through several nannies as our children have grown up and Mena is the BEST! By far! We were so fortunate to have her in our lives for 3+ years. As a person she is kind, thoughtful, intelligent, and generous. As a caretaker she is flexible, dependable, and wonderful with children. She did a remarkable job of getting to know our two children on a deep level, and quickly understood their unique needs and motivations. Our kids have dramatically different interests and personalities, and Mena adapted seamlessly to them both - making each child feel seen, understood, and supported. In addition, Mena often initiated various things around the house like running laundry, loading the dishwasher, or picking up a room - always leaving things better than she found them. She is also terrific with pets and our dog loved seeing her come through the door. I would recommend Mena to any family in a heartbeat and would be happy to talk more about our experience.
