I'm Mellany. I'm available for over-night newborn care and date nights. With a Degree in Child Development and almost 20yrs of professional child-care experience, which includes work as a full time nanny/ nanny-share, preschool teacher, and overnight newborn nanny for multiples/twins, and premies, I'm dedicated to helping make those first few months with your newborn restful and stress-free. 
I am certified in CPR/First Aid and up to date on my all my vaccinations.
I love children and have a lot of passion for this career and look forward to providing a knowledgeable and caring experience for you and your family.

our 3 year old daughter adores mellany. she is a fantastic role model for her, teaching her loving kindness, sharing, how to be a great friend and have fun. mellany plays with her both indoors and outside, sometimes walking down to the park in our neighborhood. mellany is punctual and a great communicator in regards to scheduling. our daughter is in great care with mellany. we trust her completely. 10/10 highly recommend 

Mellany is great with our two kids.  The children enjoy spending time with her, have loads of fun, and Mellany keeps them safe and having fun. We've had her watch the kids multiple times and it's always a good experience.

Mellany is wonderful! She is super communicative and will send pictures and updates before I ask. With her wealth of knowledge and experience, I trust her tremendously with our 9 month old daughter. Mellany has been my daughter's nanny for the past 15 months and has been amazing! She was truly a lifesaver after having had a less than stellar experience previously. My daughter absolutely loves Mellany and they go for walks, go to parks, go to the zoo, gardens, etc. Mellany brought so many great books and toys to the house to always keep my daughter engaged. I was a single parent for a while and I could not have done this without her! We only have to let Mellany go due to a growing family and moving out of the area. I would hire Mellany again in a heartbeat!

Mellany is the first sitter I left my daughter home with at 5 months. She made me feel at ease and sent photos of my daughter having a great time and successfully got her to bed (always nerve wracking for a first time mom!) She is wonderful with children and very responsive!

Agree with all the positive things others have said - I can be quite type A when it comes to caring for my kids and Mellany put me at ease.  She was an excellent night nanny for our newborn and I never worried my baby was getting the best care possible.  She was happy to follow any special instructions and also had good ideas for ways to do things that I've since adopted.

Mellany has been our full time nanny for the past three years.  She started when my children were 6 months & 3.5 years old, and now they are both in full time preschool & elementary school and no longer need the full time care.  Mellany came into our lives and changed everything.  She immediately formed a close bond with our children, loved them as if they were her own, and helped them grow and thrive these past 3 years.  When she started, she immediately got our 6 month old on a schedule & routine all while keeping our 3 year old busy with fun games, activities, arts & crafts and more.  She made our play areas the most organized places in the house, it was honestly a miracle.  Mellany kept us informed throughout the day, every day, with texts and pictures.  She is full of energy and was very active with the girls, bringing them to local play areas, the park, the library and more.  Mellany is a confident, professional, experienced & fun nanny and my kids are really going to miss her.

I have never thought I would be able to completely trust on someone with my kids till I met Mellany-Meme.  I found her here and the first day I met her, I knew she will be my son's important person for his early life. 
Mellany started to take care of my son when he was 1.5 year old. In less than I week, she became my son's favorite person. Every night when he went to sleep, he said "Night night Meme! I love you!" Every morning when he saw her he ran to her "Hi Meme!! Hi Meme!!" 

He is now 3 and goes to school full-time but we always ask her for date nights, and my son LOVES those nights!

Mellany is a pro. She adores children  and is clearly very knowledgeable about child development. My daughter lights up whenever she sees her. While we are out, Mellany sends us updates in the forms of texts and photos. My husband and I are picky about babysitters and are so pleased that we found Mellany.

So grateful we found Mellany in LA for our summer holiday.  My husband and I hired Mellany for date nights for our two girls (2.5 and 8 months). Mellany exceeded our expectations and was so great with them. She constantly kept us updated on what was happening (and it was all smiles) and even brought more books for our toddler one night as we had limited toys. One night she even offered to help with our sick baby. She is truly wonderful with children and hope to use her next time we visit. 

Mellany is truly one-of-kind. She's not only a world-class loving nanny but she's an even better person. 

Mellany helped raise our son for two years. I can go on and on and point to so many stories as examples but I'll keep this brief:
- my son LOVED spending time with Mellany and would always ask "where's Mimi?" even on weekends. We knew this was a great sign
- Mellany taught our son such great manners that we've been receiving compliments all the time. She had a great balance of disciplinarian and friend. 
- Mellany was very understanding and accommodating to our busy work schedules and would always find a way to make it work. 
- Mellany is clean, punctual, honest, and really loved our son as her own. 

In short, we would've loved to stay with her but we relocated and haven't been able to find someone that comes close. Happy to share more references if needed. 

The next family to be lucky enough to welcome Mellany into their family will feel so grateful. we miss you Mimi!

We are so thankful to have found Mellany! She watches our 5 year old and 1 year old so my husband and I can have date nights. She is super attentive to both children and my daughter very much looks forward to their time together. Mellany is very responsive and always manages to send pics throughout the night so we know what the kids are up to. She has my highest recommendation. 

Mellany watches my 3 and 5 year old girls every Sunday for the past year. She's extremely competent and my girls are very comfortable with her. She always brings a craft activity and makes forts with them. We are very happy with her.

My wife and I were staying with family in California on an extended vacation. Mellany came and watched our four children on a very short notice and she was very accommodating.

Mellany was available to care for our son full time via a nanny share arrangement. Since my wife had to return to work earlier than anticipated it was difficult be apart from our 2 month old son for the first time. Mellany helped make the transition back to work very easy. She was very attentive, caring and experienced with him. The nanny share arrangement worked out great. She would always send picture updates throughout the day which was a nice touch. We transitioned to my work daycare and was sad to move on. However we're looking forward to hiring her again for any babysitting needs.

Mellany is an excellent babysitter. Always punctual, dependable and with a positive attitude. She listens carefully to what I ask of her and then does it really well. She always texts me photos of my son, so I can see exactly how he's doing. I trust her and hope she'll be available whenever I need her :).

Mellany babysat our 3 year old boy and 5 and 8 year old girls during our 10 day vacation in Santa Monica. She was always on time and texted us as soon as the kids were asleep. She bathed them,fed them and brought books and activities to read and play with them.

We were very pleased and felt confident that our kids were in good hands.

Mellany babysat for us and she was great! She is very kind, punctual and responsible. She texted frequently with updates, unprompted to keep me at ease. We will definitely be using her again for date nights!

Mellany has been helping me on Saturdays with my 16 month old son for a couple months now. She is always on time and communicative when I am scheduling with her. My son enjoys walks to the park, story time and play time with Mellany. She also helps to prepare easy meals to give to my son at lunch time. I am able to get my errands done knowing my son is enjoying his day. Mellany also texts pictures throughout the day so I can see what activity they are up to. My son always seems happy.
