About Mel

My name is Mel and I am an enthusiastic and diligent caregiver with 10+ years of experience caring for children from newborns to preteens. I highly value creating a safe space for children to have fun learning, growing, and expressing themselves through creative outlets. Formerly an English Teacher in Japan, I had the most wonderful opportunity teaching at an elementary school, kindergarten, and preschool. My time working abroad for 550+ students provided me with a unique set of skills and a deep understanding of childhood needs within varying environments. In addition to childcare, I have experience in caring for pediatric patients as a hospital volunteer in the radiology department. Providing a helping hand to the medical team and our patients is a role that I'm highly passionate about. My interests and hobbies include health, arts and crafts, photography, reading, and animals. I look forward to sharing my passions along with providing reliable care for the family.
