About Melissa

Hi! I am a high school senior with an associates degree, and 4 years of experience in my own school's preschool: The Garden Sprouts, where I curate lesson plans and teach kids ages 3-5. I have done two Summer internships at Rising Sun Karate Summer Camp, in which I have supervised and entertained 20+ kids ages 5-13. I'd describe my personality as silly, open minded, and considerate. I like working with kids because they teach me a lot about myself! I'm looking for a job that provides me with hands on experience caring for young ones and helping parents out with their responsibilities. I started working with kids when I met my younger stepsister when I was 13, and I spent a lot of time babysitting her. In my spare time, I like to paint, learn to play the guitar, read, and spend time with my family and friends. One thing you should know about me is I want to be a psychologist when I am older! My skills include cooking, reading/tutoring, and entertaining.
