About Melissa

Hello! I have worked in childcare for over 12 years now ranging from teaching at an institution abroad, head teaching in daycares, nannying and most recently being a 3K TA for a NYC DOE preschool. My love for working as a caregiver first developed when I got the opportunity to volunteer at an public institution in Guayaquil, Ecuador. As a teacher for kindergarten, many of my daily tasks included but were not limited to feeding the children, assisting with homework help as well as implementing activities and programs alike to engage the children and overall community of the school. It was an humbling experience from which I discovered I had a strong passion working with children. Since then, I have remained in childcare from which I have been able to create a strong network of families and their children that I now babysit for. It has been the most rewarding job- I am friendly, energetic, reliable, empathetic and trustworthy. I hope to be the right fit for future babysitting needs!
