My experience caring for children started at the age of 16. My first job was with the City of Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation department. I was a lifeguard, swim instructor, water exercise instructor and a basketball ref for a youth league. Ever since I was a little girl I loved caring for kids. I am the second oldest of my family out of four and I always cared for my younger siblings. After being with the City of Sunnyvale for 5 years working with children, I started working with the City of Santa Clara. I worked for the city's Youth Activity Center and also the Therapeutics Department working with kids and adults with special needs. I love playing and teaching young children. I am 35 years old and a stay at home mom to my 3 yrs old boy.

Melissa worked as a part time nanny for our our family for 3.5 years and was wonderful. At the time our youngest was just 4 months old and our other two were ages 2 and 4. She has a very genuine caring personality, was always attentive to the kids needs, nurturing , and was very patient with them. I always felt the kids were safe with her. She loves to be out doors and always created fun experiences and adventures for the kids as they got older. We highly recommend her and our family still keeps in touch.
