About Melissa

A little about me: I am a happy and stable stay at home wife and mother who loves nature hikes, cooking, reading and a great sense of humor. I would love to fill my time offering companion care to an elderly adult who needs it. Background: I started off as an In Home Health Aide for the developmentally disabled. In this job is where I first learned how to do medication management, assist with activities of daily living, cook meals for clients, drive to and from appointments and also take the clients on recreational outings. I later went to college to become a Psych Tech. This took my nursing skills and knowledge about mental health to new heights. As part of my PT clinical training I worked in a retirement home as a companion caregiver. This is when I realized I had a calling to work with the elderly. I'm responsible, trust worthy, kind, thoughtful and have a lot of respect for the elderly. I believe I have all the skills needed plus some to be good at this job.
