About Melissa

Hi There, I am a very my name is Melissa M. I would consider myself to be a very reliable, fun, and creative child care worker. I graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a degree in Elementary Education. I began working in child care from a very young age- babysitting, then with a job as a counselor at different camps, tutoring, and now nannying. I love kids, and I have worked with children of all ages. Recently, I have been nannying my 16-month-old niece, which has been very rewarding. However, I would love to get back into teaching through tutoring. As a teacher, I pride myself in making learning hands-on and engaging for students. Although I specialized in Elementary Education, I also worked with children with disabilities one-on-one in my job at Aquatic Camp in Evanston, and also volunteered through the City of Evanston with a swim program. I am looking forward to working with Elementary school children once again!
