About Melissa

A caring, loving, energetic and skilled former elementary school teacher, I have a Master's of Education degree in Elementary Education with specific expertise in the areas of social emotional learning and development, and in early childhood education. When you have me as your child's caretaker, you know their social/emotional, cognitive, and physical development will be at the forefront of our days - all done through consistent play and learning. I am an expert at creating and managing play-based structure and in watching kids grow happily and healthfully. I am also the oldest of seven children, and have spent my life managing children and engaging their interests. Additionally, if there are any educational needs, I would be happy to discuss time spent tutoring or working toward any academic goals. I take pride in crafting engaging experiences for kiddos to enhance their natural curiosity about the world around them.
