About Melissa

We really can’t say enough about Melissa. She’s thoughtful, caring, genuinely loving, and the kind of person you can always rely on when you need help. She’s watched our three kids on and off for over seven years now, watching them grow up, and having her in our home has made a world of difference for our family. She actually takes the time to listen to the kids, figure out what they need, and make sure they feel cared for and heard. A few things that make her so special to us: Fair and firm with the rules: Melissa hits that sweet spot with discipline. She’s clear and firm about house rules and holds the kids accountable, but she never uses a heavy hand. She keeps things running smoothly using patience, good communication, and plain old common sense. Actually plays with them (no screens!): She is so creative when it comes to keeping the kids entertained. Instead of throwing on a movie or handing over a tablet, Melissa gets right down on the floor and plays with them. Whether it's imaginative games, outdoor fun, or hands-on projects, she makes every day interactive and genuine fun. Loves our pets just as much: Melissa is a huge animal lover and treats our pets with the same warmth and care as she does the kids. It’s such a relief knowing our pets are getting loved on while we’re away, too. Leaves the house cleaner than she found it: On top of being great with the kids and pets, she’s always looking for ways to help out. Without us even asking, she tidies up, cleans the living areas, and leaves the house in great shape for when we get home. Melissa is just a wonderful person, and she truly feels like an extension of our family.
