HI! I'm Melissa (Liz). I was a preschool teacher for 20 years, primarily caring for and teaching infants and toddlers. A few years ago, I retired to work full time at Amazon because (sadly) the pay and benefits are better than teaching. However, I miss taking care of and working with young children. I can speak basic Spanish, French and sign in ASL. I am trained in first aid and CPR. I have a BA in History and my CDA. On a personal level, I have a 24-year-old son who is in the Air Force and I am an animal lover- I have 3 chihuahuas, 2 birds and 2 cats.

Liz cared for our oldest up until 1.5 years of age in a childcare setting. What we appreciated about Liz is that she listened to our instructions and concerns, is honest and hardworking, and was always attentive to our child as well as the other children in the room. She has also babysat for us (2 kids), which also went well. My husband and I still talk about how great it was to come home after a night out, and she had cleaned up our kids' dishes from dinner (which hasn't always been our experience with babysitters)! I would definitely recommend Liz as a childcare provider.
