About Melissa

Hi! My name is Melissa. I'm 29 and living in Reno, NV while completing nursing prerequisites. I started nannying infants professionally at 19 and worked full-time for 5 years before getting my EMT certification. I have been missing the job a lot, so I'm excited to get back to caring for babies. I prefer working with one child at a time, under 12 months old, so I can stay focused on building a strong connection with them and their family (arguably the best part of the job). I'm an EMT with 5 years of experience, including 911 ambulance response and pediatric emergency care in the ED. I'm very well-versed in current methods for sleep training and feeding methods, and strive to make sure things are done the way you want them to be. Outside of work, my fiancé is a firefighter, we love Tahoe outdoor recreation, and have a dog named Piper. I value routines, developmental play, and clear communication.
