About Melissa

I have a BS in Business Administration and a MS in Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Management. In 2008, I completed Child Guidance I, Home, School and Community, Growth and Development in Early Childhood Education, which is a 9 total credits. I have previous experience in a classroom setting as a Teaching Intern at Casa Montessori School and Green Gables School in 2007-08. I supervised children ages 2-5 years and assisted in curriculum, teaching and play. I also have experience as a training coordinator and facilitator in Housing and Hospitality Services at the University of California, Los Angeles. My own children are young adults now ages 20 & 25. I am self-reliant, highly emotionally intelligent and driven with a genuine interest in listening, learning and mentoring. I have an extensive background in training and working with children and adults, with strong communication skills for native English speakers and ESL Spanish speakers. I am also an animal lover!
