Hello! My name is Melissa. I'm a single mom of two sons (23 and 20) and three cats. I was a stay at home mom for many years. Additionally, I have many years of experience in caregiving in various capacities, including child care, pet care, and household help. I started babysitting when I was 11 years old and continued all through school and college. I've worked in the infant room in three daycare centers, I've volunteered in the infant room in the church nursery, and since February of 2020 I've nannied over 25 infants and little ones, and the youngest and tiniest of them was six days old and five pounds. I'm CPR certified, I'm a non-smoker, and I love animals. I absolutely love newborns and I WORK EXCLUSIVELY WITH INFANTS UNDER 20 POUNDS. We hired Melissa for a short-term 2-month long nanny role for our 2–4-month-old baby girl. She watched our daughter for 4 hours a day / 3
days a week. Melissa was on time and professional.  She always showed up with a positive attitude
and brought a good mood to greet our baby. Melissa watched our daughter during the most difficult time of her early life (2-4 month age was rough). She did a wonderful job with our daughter. She continuously talked, interacted, and played with our daughter, unless she was sleeping. Our daughter had issues with thrush early on, and Melissa was able to help manage that by being very thorough with diaper changes. Melissa also kept a daily log of all activities to keep us up
to date on her sleep/feeding schedule.  Overall, Melissa did a great job and we would recommend her.

We hired Melissa full-time during the first few months of our son J&#39;s life, and what a treat it was to have her with us as we adjusted to being first-time parents. She gave J so much love and quality time—playing with him, reading to him, and seamlessly fitting into our daily routine. Melissa has a sharp eye for detail and always kept us informed of any changes in J’s behavior or diapers. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. Melissa was only with us a short time, just to get us to starting daycare with our baby, but I wish we could have had her with us longer! She was amazing with our 5-6 month old, knew exactly what he needed when and was so caring. She also brought a stack of books from the library to read with him. She even loved on our dog (who admittedly has been feeling lonely since the baby came home). If Melissa is available, don’t hesitate to hire her. You won’t regret it. 

Melissa was an absolute amazing nanny to our son! We hired Melissa to be our nanny for our newborn son. As a first time mom I was nervous about hiring someone to take care of our son. Melissa was amazing with us and took such good care of our son. From our first meeting we knew she was the right fit for us. She instantly became a member of our family. Melissa would  help  him with play that helped meet his milestones. When I wasn’t working from home she would send me photos and videos of him so I felt like I wasn’t ever missing anything! She is reliable, trustworthy and dependable!

She helped us take care of our baby when she was very young and needed care throughout the night. Examples include changing diapers, giving bottles and anything else she may have needed in the wee hours of the night so we could get guaranteed sleep.

If I could give Melissa five hundred stars, I would! If you are on the fence, just hire her! Like, right now! She was such a blessing to our family. When she came to work with us, I was an anxious, first time mom to a 3 month old. She was with us for a few months and it was wonderful. She was as much a nanny to me as to my girl! Melissa has worked with infants for so long - she is a wealth of knowledge. Through intentional play, Melissa was able to help my daughter reach many of her milestones and lots of them early. My daughter also struggles with reflux and sleep, and Melissa was so cognizant of that. She was as invested in finding a solution to those issues as we were! I'm so glad she was with us for the time that she was! My daughter will be attending a MDO program now, but we are keeping Melissa on speed dial for dates!

Melissa is wonderful! You can tell she really has a passion for babies & has been such a great help and blessing for our family! Our little one loves spending her days with her and always has so much fun. She is very attentive and interactive, and she has even taught her some sign language! Melissa stepped right into caring for our little 3 month old at a crazy time. We were moving into a new home, traveling, and getting my daughter ready to start school, Melissa jumped right and helped wherever she was needed, that included packing boxes, taking my daughter to appointments, and keeping our rambunctious dog under control. Since then, things have calmed down and we've settled into a routine. Melissa arrives promptly to work each day, ready to take care of our baby. She plays with him, recognizes his hunger and sleepy cues just as well as I do, and he LOVES spending time with her. Development is a really big thing for us, so Melissa keeps us well informed on the things she's working on with our baby so we can continue those things when she's not here. Our baby has developed leaps and bounds under Melissa's great care. She also sends pictures at the end of her shift and keeps the kitchen & common areas very tidy, which we appreciate. Melissa is an all around a great hire!

Melissa is simply amazing with children, especially infants (baby whisperer status)! She's a God sent gift for our family and we will be so very sad to lose her as our nanny due to a move. Melissa went above and beyond to help us around the house any way she could and treated our kids as if they were her own. She is personable, respectful, honest, punctual and hard working. She got to know what our kids like and made them feel safe and important along with our pets. She will be deeply missed as a nanny!

Melissa is absolutely wonderful!! She came in and was immediately apart of our family! She takes wonderful care of my baby and treats her like she is her own! She even takes good care of the dogs while she is here! I would hire her anytime!
