About Melissa

I'd describe my personality as warm, energetic, and optimistic. I love tutoring because after working as a classroom teaching for over a decade, I really enjoy having the chance to work one-on-one with students and help them feel more confident in their learning! I'm looking for a job that values my experience and wants their child to enjoy learning! I started tutoring when in graduate school for my Masters in Reading Education, about 10 years ago. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends. One thing you should know about me is how I love to make learning fun! My top three tutoring skills include: confidence boosting, foundational skills support, and making learning fun and purposeful.
