About Melissa

I have been a nanny for about 4 years now in Lincoln, Nebraska. Before that I was a private caregiver in home for a man with dementia and his wife. I was with them 5 wonderful years. I provided transportation to and from appointments, cooked, administered medications, did laundry, payed bills, and any added necessary tasks the family needed. I was the home manager and we did many activities, music, baking, games, and talking/companionship. Elderly loved ones need the same patience, love, and understanding that little ones need. My past jobs have been running my own in home daycare for 8 years, working with mentally ill and drug dependent patients with Catholic Charities, and working at Mosaic with developmentally disabled adults. I enjoy loving and caring for people. I'm very patient and fun! I love to be creative when dealing with challenges! I have a very laid back personality and communication is important to me. I enjoy staying busy and consider myself a hard worker.
