My mother and I previously ran a small pet-sitting business out of our home. I've taken care of dogs, cats, horses, birds, etc. I've always been an animal lover and have even had horses in the past. I've worked some summers at a kennel, as well. I've done everything from simple daily feedings to administering pills and daily baths. I have experience both in my home and in the pets' homes for short and long time frames. I prefer to play and cuddle them rather than just letting them out and putting down food. Melissa kept our Westie Baxter in her home for 12 days, including Christmas, while we were out of town. It was a great experience. She sent us updates and pictures throughout our trip and responded quickly to any texts I sent. When we picked up Baxter he was in great spirits. It seems he was very well taken care of. I think he was actually sad to leave Melissa and her sweet dog. We would certainly recommend Melissa for pet sitting!
