About Melanie

My name is Melanie. I have been working with children in various different settings for over 10 years! Some of my previous experience includes being an assistant preschool teacher for a Head Start program, working in a K-5 significant support needs classroom, lead toddler teacher in a ski resort employee daycare, as well as babysitting and nannying. I have a BA in psychology as well as a BA in family/child studies with a minor in speech-language pathology. In my free time I love to cook, read, and do anything outdoors. I try to incorporate that as much as I can in to my work. I love doing art projects, science experiments, reading, and local field trips. I encourage playing and exploring outside as much as possible, even if that means getting dirty! I have experience caring for sick children, helping with light household chores, caring for pets, and running errands!
