About Melanie

We couldn't imagine someone more devoted, trustworthy, and nurturing to take care of our daughter than Melanie. She has a patient and loving disposition, sharp instincts for babies, and a strong interest in a child's well being. We feel reassured knowing that our child's physical and emotional needs are being met at all times, and that her comfort and safety are always being put first by Melanie. In the year that we knew Melanie, from the time when our now-21-month-old daughter was only four-months-old, she has been completely dependable, flexible and generous with her time so as to accommodate our varying schedules. She is eager to help us out in any way that she can. Some of her responsibilities include preparing meals, changing, helping with bedtime and bath routines, sterilizing bottles, and organizing the play area. We obviously don't know exactly what happens when we're at work; but if our daughter's smiles and laughter elicited by Melanie's arrival every morning are of any indication, each day is surely filled with lots of stimulating activities, games, songs, walks outside, trips to the park, reading, exercising, and playing. We know that our daughter is not only being taken care of, but that she is also engaging in the developmentally-appropriate activities that she craves as she gets older. She is always respectful of our daughter and us. She checks in with us throughout the day, making sure to keep an open dialogue about activities, nap schedule, meals, developmental progress, and mood. In addition to being a great caretaker, Melanie is also a great individual--both creative and energetic. We couldn't recommend Melanie more highly and feel confident that you will share our glowing opinion of her. Our only criticism is that she moved away from NYC!
