About Melanie

I've been working with animals since I began volunteering and gaining hands-on experience at various shelters, animal hospitals, and research facilities, such as the Avian Science Research Facility, Front Street Animal Shelter, and the Elk Grove Animal Hospital. My passion for animal care has been growing ever since, and it's shaped my career path and educational goals in veterinary care. I'm also in the process of becoming fear free certified myself, I'm committed to using techniques that minimize stress and ensure a positive experience for all pets. I'm skilled at handing pets for nail trims and other care needs, always focusing on their comfort and well-being. In addition to being skilled in handing dogs and cats for nail trims, I'm also trained in basic veterinary care, such as administering vaccinations, giving medications, and monitoring their health. At my previous job, I also worked as boarder, where I cared for animals during their stay, ensuring they were happy and healthy.
