About Mela

Over the past two decades I have worked as a nanny, preschool teacher, and run a home daycare. I am a proud adoptive mom to two girls (who join me at work during school breaks). They love playing with other children and helping with babies. Some of my favorite activities with kids are reading, doing arts and crafts and fun sensory activities, baking, and exploring outside. I believe children thrive when they feel safe and loved. I believe in problem solving rather than punishing and that all behavior is communication. I have experience with children of all ages but am especially fond of working with infants -preschoolers. I'm an expert and swaddling and soothing and have helped many babies get on a healthy sleep schedule. I also love the fun conversations and activities that I get to engage in with toddlers through elementary school age kids. I am open to nanny shares or families with multiple children. Experience with twins, autism, feeding tubes, seizures, ND kids, etc.
