About Meghan

Experience: 20 yrs

Nurturing a child's growth and development is my lifelong passion. With 20 years of experience, I provide patient, calm, and reliable care for children ranging from infants to pre-teens. My background in Early Child Development helps me create engaging environments where kids thrive. I am certified in CPR Training and First Aid Training to ensure your children remain safe at all times. I love organizing outdoor sports, educational games, and puzzles to keep little minds and bodies active. I am very comfortable enforcing your household rules and supporting your family through meal preparation, carpooling, and light housekeeping. I prioritize clear communication, providing regular updates via text or in-person chats to keep you informed. Since I am a skilled swimmer, I am happy to provide expert supervision during pool time. I truly look forward to becoming a trusted partner in your family's daily life.

Meghan has been with our family since May 2024, when our boys were 1 and 4, and we genuinely would keep her for years to come if our childcare needs weren't changing. Now that both of our boys are in school, we only need afternoon help beginning this fall, and Meghan is looking for a full-time position, ideally around 9-5. Meghan has been a professional nanny for approximately 20 years and has a history of staying with families long-term. Over the past two-plus years, she has become an incredibly important part of our family. She has helped our youngest through everything from bottles and first foods to walking, talking, potty training and starting school, while also caring for our older son, handling school pickups, sports, activities and playdates. She drives her own car, has a clean driving record, and has transported our boys daily to and from two different schools, camps and activities. What has always stood out most to us is how genuinely engaged Meghan is with our boys. She reads with them, plays board games, takes them to the library and playground, gets them outside, and somehow can even turn a trip through the car wash into an activity. She isn't someone who relies on screens to fill the day. Our boys absolutely adore her—our youngest still proudly announces at school that "Meghan is picking me up today," even when she picks him up every day. She has been invited to every birthday party at our boys' request, and our extended family, their teachers, other parents and their friends have all gotten to know and love her. For two parents with demanding full-time jobs, Meghan's reliability has been invaluable. She is consistently on time, rarely calls out, handles sick days and last-minute schedule changes, and has always been flexible when we've needed her to stay late or help in the evening. We have never had to spend our workdays worrying about whether things at home were being handled. She keeps us appropriately updated without inundating us with calls or texts, and we simply know that our children are safe, happy and in good hands. She also handles the children's laundry, bedding, meals and snacks, keeps their rooms and play areas organized, cleans up the kitchen, and helps with household errands when needed. She has cared for our boys when they are sick, administered medication at our direction, managed bath and bedtime routines, and helped us through countless last-minute changes that inevitably come with two young children. Perhaps Meghan's greatest strength is her ability to adapt to the family she works for. She took the time to understand what was important to us as parents—how we approach discipline, food, routines, screen time and the many other decisions that come with raising children—and consistently reinforced those choices. She is loving and incredibly fun with our boys, but she can also provide structure and discipline when needed without ever overstepping. She has always felt like an extension of us as parents rather than someone trying to impose her own approach. We trust Meghan completely—with our children, our home, and all of the responsibilities that come with caring for a family. Her infectious laugh and bubbly personality have been a constant presence in our house, and our entire family is going to be genuinely sad when she moves on. The hardest part of this transition for us is knowing how much our boys love her.
