About Megan

Growing up with my mom, who was an elementary school teacher for 30 years, gave me a real hands-on understanding of effective teaching methods and creating a positive learning atmosphere. As a summer camp counselor for five years, I got to lead large groups of up to 150 kids and handle smaller groups of 30 on my own. I made sure everyone stayed safe with my CPR certification and even jumped into swimming activities with the kids three times a week. My psychology major background, even though I later switched to advertising, helped me better understand child development, and back in high school, I was part of LHS United and participated in the Special Olympics for two years. Babysitting for families with kids ranging from toddlers to teenagers taught me to adapt to different age groups, and I'm really excited to bring all this experience to a role where I can contribute to the growth and well-being of children.
